Fashion + Makeup + Inspiration
~THE OUTFIT~ The outfit that I wore was inspired by Lady Gaga's look at ELLE'S event that took place in October. It is also a sustainable lifestyle inspired. Over the weeks I've introduced myself of things that change my behavior against our environment, some kind of green lifestyle. There is just so much of things which we can change starting with ourselves. Anyways. So what I basically did is that I went through everything that I have in my cabinet and my mothers, and use whatever I'd find. Usually, I'd buy new clothes for such an event but I'm trying to do less of that. I mean, do I really need all those clothes?... Who does?... Lady Gaga has been over the top now these days, ecially when Star is born came out. I haven't seen it yet but I'm looking forward to. But I've been Lady Gaga's fan for a long time ever since she started her musicial career. When I saw her on the ELLE event and giving that speech which I recommend everyone to see, I thought she was so amazing and unique. I was so touched. She wore a man suit, and I loved it! She just showed so much power and inspired me a lot. Besides I wore my Dad's suit at my aunties confirmation 6 months ago, you can see it HERE, it makes me feel funny somehow. Like I was ahead of what was coming in fashion. But when I wore it I could really feel the power. BUT nothing can top her powerful speech! So I was definitely going to wear a suit. I knew that my mom had some kind of those suits because they were really in back in the days! But it wasn't "men-ly", by that I mean not oversized and loose. I ended up with a suit that my mom had owned for so many years and she even wanted to get rid of it, kind of lucky that she didn't. But I loved it. The color was perfect, Kanye-West-base-shade which is really in right now. My 2nd outfit is also out of my ma's closet. It's a dress with a bit 60's tiger print vibe but like more modern. It's also old clothing which my mom almost got rid of. These patterns were so in last fall and I can say that they still are and probably will all-time. ~THE MAKE UP~ I challenged myself to do a cut-crease on the eyes. I had one hour to go and honestly for the first time I mastered it! I didn't have anything that inspired that look, it just came out of the blue and I really liked it. I just tried a new foundation from Rihanna's brand and I'm trying to figure out if I like it or not. But everything was in its place so my face looked ok most of the night. As you can see, I had quality time with my friends <3
Merry Christmas! x Monika Janina K
