-DEDICATING ROPES-
This lovely artwork is made by one of my friend, Kumi Koshio from Japan. As you can see from my earlier posts, there was this weekend in Thingeyri that was about comparing two villages in Japan and Iceland. Locals may see the ropes just as a material but Kumi saw something else. She saw this connection between them, the connection between people. That's why I think this creation is so beautiful. I would never think of it like that but from now on I will see it more than just a rope.
I felt the energy just standing around them and I started thinking of my relationships between people like these ropes were all linked to me.

Monika Janina K. About three years ago I drew these portraits in like of a cartoon style. They are really simple and easy. The idea behind this was to draw the characters from the Hunger Games book. I read that book in school and wanted to use the description look of the persons by the book, not the movie. So I tried to follow them, trying as much to ignore the look from the movie. But I mean it was pretty hard when you've seen it already. I though really like how they came out. You can probably spot out which is what pretty easily...
